Miguel del Rey
Miguel del Rey Aynat is an Architect and University Professor of Architectural Projects for the Valencia School of Architecture. He runs the PAISAR (Landscaping and Rural Architecture) group at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. His publications include La Casa Tradicional (Valencia, 1983), La Casa Rural de Origen Moderno en el Territorio Valenciano (Madrid, 1990), Arquitectura Rural Valenciana , (Valencia, 1998), Entorno al Proyecto , (Valencia, 2002), Alqueríes i Paisatges en l'Horta , (Valencia, 2003) and Lugares... (Valencia, 2005).
While teaching and researching, he has also accepted professional projects for which he has received various awards, including the Europa Nostra Award for the restoration of the Morella Town Council building (1997), an award from the Valencia School of Architecture for community projects (for the Feria de Alicante building in 1991), awards for the best architectural publication: Arquitectura Rural Valenciana and Alqueríes i Paisatges en l'Horta , and an award for the best work on gardening and landscaping for the design and construction of the Hespérides Garden in Valencia (2001).
Miguel del Rey was selected as a finalist for the Principality of Asturias Spanish Architecture Prize in 1991 and 1992 and for the Biennial Spanish Architecture and Landscape Prize in 1991, 1993, 1997, 2003 and 2005. Professor of Architectural Projects at ETSAV until 2008
